CAPSA FOOD has once again been certified as a Top Employer in Spain, recognising its work and guaranteeing that it is one of the best companies to work for. This certification, which is held by 103 companies nationwide, reinforces the company’s commitment as an Exemplary Employer.
Since 2016, CAPSA FOOD has been improving its score to obtain outstanding levels in some of the aspects evaluated in an audit process in which the strategy for people, the work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being and diversity and inclusion, among other aspects.

One of the areas in which CAPSA FOOD is distinguished is young talent selection and development through its scholarship and work experience programmes, through which 51% of scholarships have been transformed into employment contracts over the last three years. It also encourages professional development through internal promotion and job changes, with 4 out of 10 vacancies filled internally.
Another highlight is the company’s investment into technical and skills training programmes, with an average of 25,000 hours of training over the last three years. (23,000 hours in 2020).
CAPSA FOOD has adapted different work/life balance and equality measures to the different groups and to production requirements. In 2020, adapting to current circumstances, the implementation of flexible remote work in office positions was consolidated.
It has also been a Family Responsible Company since 2009, with the representation of women continuing to increase (26% of the workforce), especially in factory positions (21% occupied by women) and management.
The company fosters employees’ health, safety and well-being in a comprehensive manner, involving their families and society, reducing its accident rate by 32%.
The General COVID Action Plan has also been implemented, with a COVID protocol (more than 100 measures) that is certified by Aenor.
Social action is part of CAPSA’s culture, with different actions organised with employees that are related to health, sport and safety at work. An example is the “Lacto Solidario Project,” through which more than €17,000 has been raised thanks to the reduced number of accidents within work centres. Different donation campaigns are also carried out together with employees to help the most disadvantaged.
In 2020, CAPSA’s Human Resources policies contributed to it obtaining B Corp certification (the first Spanish dairy company to achieve it), which is awarded to companies that generate a positive social impact on society and on the planet.
