At Central Lechera Asturiana, we are committed to preparing our products using natural methods, respecting their essential ingredients as far as possible, and only using those that are indispensable. Therefore, 99% of our product portfolio is free of additives and artificial ingredients.
We are constantly striving to reformulate our products, by reducing fat and sugar, in order to provide the consumer with healthy food that forms part of a balanced diet. Currently, 99% of our products do not contain sugar or added sweeteners.
We therefore put our lists of ingredients on the front of our packaging, as part of our policy for clear labelling and conveying clear and straightforward messages on all our communication media.
We offer healthy products adapted to different health needs, providing consumers with more personalised nutrition, which improves their health and their quality of life.
We organise different educational activities to foster knowledge about eating well and the importance of physical activity as fundamental aspects, for a healthier population in different target groups: children, consumer and employees.
We actively work with health professionals in order to facilitate our outreach to the population on the common theme of health. Furthermore, we take part in medical conferences and work with scientific societies. We foster a healthy lifestyle by means of our products with their scientific evidence, showing their effectiveness. The nutrition website and Nutritional Advice Service make it possible to access useful and direct information within easy reach, by providing users with tools to help improve their nutritional habits.
By supporting research in the field of nutrition and food through the Nutrition Professorships established with the Complutense University of Madrid and with Murcia University. Our research is ongoing to improve the health and wellbeing of the individual, by developing and offering products adapted to the needs of the market and of the consumer, and based on scientific evidence. We drive research through the Hippocrates International Medical Research Award.
